Tour Plan

Day 01 Marrakech - Atlas Mountains - Ait ben haddou Kasbah - Ouarzazate

After breakfast at the riad or hotel where you slept the previous night, we will begin our first day on the 5-day desert journey from Marrakech to Fes. From there, we will travel across Tizi-Ntichka (the Atlas Mountains) with their expansive vistas and scenery.
Following our lunch at the restaurant in the Ait ben Haddou Kasbah, we will go to Ouarzazate via the city's studios. You are free to advise whether or not to visit these studios, and we will have to spend our first night in a hotel or riad.

Day 02 Ouarzazate - kasbah of Amridil - valley of roses - valley of Dades - gorges of Todra - desert of Merzouga

After breakfast for the second day, we'll go across the Atlas highlands to Skoura, where we'll stop at Kasbah Amridil, one of Morocco's finest reeds. These seventeenth-century marvels cost Dh 50. A few hundred meters off the main road, this living museum depicts the centuries-long existence of a typical kasbah with hand-carved door locks, an olive oil pump, and bake ovens that are still operational where animals were formerly housed. Divided into two sections, each with its own entrance, the Kasbah on the right offers a taller balcony and a genuine ambiance. We will then go via the valley of the roses toward the valley of the Dades and the Todra gorges, where we will take in the green valley and palm tree scenery. We shall then proceed to the desert of Merzouga and spend the night in a hotel or riad.

Day 03 Tour around Merzouga Desert

Starting with a visit to the settlement of Black people, who were once slaves of Sudan, Mali, and Senegal, you will start your five-day Desert Tour from Marrakech to Fes after breakfast at the hotel. You will learn about their music and culture. We will later go across the desert to meet and investigate the way of life of nomadic families that live in Berber tents. You will have a typical Berber lunch—Berber pizza—in a local family home today.

The Alawite dynasty, the present reigning royal family in Morocco, began in the ancient city of Rissani, which you will also get the chance to see. About 360 Ksar, or walled villages with several towers, surround Rissani. Three times a week, a sizable souk (a four-door open market) is held there. The salt caravans from Timbuktu, Mali, gathered there, once known as Sijilmassa. You will go inside the souk here to find out. We will then go back to Merzouga village. In the afternoon, you will explore what is hidden within Morocco's highest sand dunes by camel ride, guided by an expert camel guide.

About one hour and thirty minutes pass as you ride camels to the tent, where you can see the stars and the sunset. You will spend the night in a desert camp and have dinner at the restaurant there. And the natives' traditional drum music will enhance your evening as you complete your supper. On the fourth day of our 5-day desert trip, stay in a hotel or riad in Marrakech.

Day 04 Desert camp - Errachidia - Midalt - Azrou - Ifran - Fes

We have to leave the desert camp in the morning after breakfast and sunrise via Erfoud to Errachidia, which offers a panoramic view. We will see the forest of the Ziz valley, take some photos, and then continue the route to Midelt, which is well-known for its apples. After lunch, we will pass by some villages and small towns before heading to Azrou Forest, which is home to wild monkeys.

We will spend some time with the monkeys before moving on to Ifran City, which is the second cleanest city in Morocco and Australia, where we will see the stone lion. We are finishing our 5-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes today.

Day 05 Fez city guide

After eating breakfast at the riad in the medina of Fez and resting after the journey, it's time to begin exploring this amazing city, one of the main draws of our week-long trip across Morocco. Our professional Spanish-speaking guide will be with you when you arrive at the hotel or other designated location.
The morning-time guided tour will take you past the city's most famous sites, including the Medina, which Unesco has designated as World Heritage. Among them are the most well-known locations, such as Nejjarine, the souks, the most genuine artisan districts, such as the tanners, the madrasas of Bou Inania and Attarin, the Karaouine mosque and the university it houses (one of the oldest in the world), and a lengthy list of others.
Fez, being one of North Africa's largest towns, may not have all of the interesting sites on the morning street. Therefore, the free afternoon of this day might be a nice addition to continue seeing the city: the navigator (Jewish neighborhood) Royal Palace with its golden gates or museums like Borj Nord are intriguing suggestions for this time of day.
Consider exploring the renowned shops and establishments in the city's downtown area, which boasts some of the best trades in the entire country.
A full day filled with possibilities will culminate in a restful night's sleep in a medina riad. Our 5-day tour from Marrakech to Fes came to a conclusion.
